GOVERNOR’S MONTHLY LETTER AUGUST 2026 EMBARK ON A JOURNEY OF CREATING A LASTING IMPACT By: TLP Alejandro Judan III On a rainy day on July 11, 2026, members of the Rotary Club of North EDSA, led by Legacy President Alejandro Judan III, ventured for four hours to the Alberto G. Bautista Elementary School in Talugtug, Nueva Ecija. They aimed to assess two classroom buildings for rehabilitation and deliver essential materials for Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) projects, demonstrating their commitment to the community. This journey captured the essence of Rotary’s vision, which serves as a guiding principle for creating unity and positive change. Their vision statement beautifully expresses this aspiration: "Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change—across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves." The word "together" highlights the collaborative nature of progress. It encourages not just Rotarians but also the communities they serve to work hand in hand. The phrase "people unite and take action" inspires members to move beyond meetings, seeking tangible solutions to pressing issues, while "creating lasting change" emphasizes their dedication to sustainable solutions. Rotary addresses challenges at all societal levels, from global issues like peace and disease to local community needs. By navigating these challenges, Rotary grows its members through meaningful experiences of service. The vision acts as a beacon, guiding club members toward common goals, while the mission articulates their purpose: "to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace." This mission gives life to the vision and makes it actionable. A strategic plan outlines the necessary steps for success, focusing on increasing impact, expanding reach, enhancing engagement, and improving adaptability. Rotary Club of North EDSA
